A still from Mayaboti.

Arun Chowdhuri directed Mayaboti will be released at local cinemas today.

The film has been jointly produced by Anwar Azad Films and Anonno Srishti Vision. Jaaz Multimedia is the distributor of the film.

National Film Award winning actress Nusrat Imrose Tisha has played the title role in the film.

In the film, Trisha will be seen on screen opposite newcomer Yash Rohan, who made his silver screen debut with Giasuddin Selim directed Swapnajaal.

Besides, Fazlur Rahman Babu, Raisul Islam Asad, Dilara Zaman, Mamunur Rashid, Wahida Mallik Jolly, Aruna Biswas and others play different roles in the film.

Mayaboti is the second directorial venture of Arun Chowdhuri. It revolves around human trafficking. The protagonist character Maya was stolen from her mother at an adolescent age.

Maya ends up at Dauladia brothel where she learns music from a teacher enacted by Fazlur Rahman Babu.

A local barrister’s young son, Yash Rohan, falls for Maya after he hears her singing. On the other hand Mayaboti somehow gets involved in a murder and a new chapter begins. With lots of ups and downs the story moves forward.

‘Mayaboti will be released in around 20 cinemas across the country. I am hoping that film lovers will enjoy it. We will release it in more cinemas in future,’ Arun Chowdhuri told New Age.
