Waterkeepers Bangladesh and River Angle on Sunday jointly organised a daylong programme with children at a government primary school in Gazipur’s Kaliyakoir area to celebrate World Rivers Day.
The event aimed at involving children in the protection of river and to promote awareness for sustainability of rivers.

Using the educational tools, the children participated in drawing, recitation, sports, dialogues, and drama on rivers, said a press release on Monday.

Finally, they joined the oath of World River Day in which they promised to protect rivers and made commitment to be responsible for keeping them unpolluted.
