The Bangladesh Cricket Board on Sunday included six players from the ICC Under-19 World Cup champion team in the 13-member BCB XI for their two-day warm-up match against visiting Zimbabwe, scheduled to be held at the BKSP on February 18-19.
Bangladesh Under-19 team’s World Cup winning skipper Akbar Ali was included in the team alongside team-mates – openers Tanzid Hasan and Parvez Hossain, middle-order batsmen Shahadat Hossain and Mahmudul Hasan and left-arm pacer Shoriful Islam.
The selectors preferred youth in place of experience for the BCB XI team, picking uncapped players like Fardeen Hasan, Rishad Ahmed, Sumon Khan, Al Amin Jr and Mukidul Islam for the practice match.
Left-handed batsman Mohammad Naim and leg-spinner Aminul Islam were the only two members of the squad who have played for the national team.

Later, they will also play three one-day internationals and two Twenty20 internationals against the hosts.
