‘Bir’ and ‘Birds of Prey’ to hit local cinemas today

Local film ‘Bir’ and Hollywood film ‘Birds of Prey’ will hit local cinemas today.

Kazi Hayat directed ‘Bir’ will give film lovers glimpse into issues like bribery, eve teasing, political turmoil and others. It has been jointly produced by Sakib Khan and Md Iqbal.

The film will be released under the banner of SK Films in around 80 cinemas across the country.

The film stars Sakib Khan and Bubly in the lead roles. Besides, Kazi Hayat, Misha Sawdagar, Sadek Bacchu, Habib Khan and others have played different roles in the film.

‘It is the 50th film directed by me. I have tried to depict different anomalies in the society. The film will portray the sufferings of the mass people,’ Kazi Hayat told New Age.

‘I am suffering age-related health issues. It might be my last film,’ added Hayat.

The film was shot in different locations across Bangladesh.

Hollywood’s crime action based film ‘Birds of Prey’ will be released in the branches of Star Cineplex in the capital.

This is an American superhero film, based on the DC Comics, directed by Cathy Yan.

Margot Robbie, Bryan Unkeless and Sue Kroll have jointly produced the film.

In the film, Harley Quinn will be seen in fighting scenes with her usual madness, crazy dress-up and pink blue hair style.

When Joker breaks up with Harley, he leaves her out on the streets of Gotham City. Gradually she recovers from her abusive relationship. Harley Quinn faces the wrath of narcissistic crime boss Black Mask, his right-hand man Victor Zsasz and every other thug in the city. Later she teams up with three deadly women -- Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya.

The film stars Margot Robbie, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jurnee Smollett-Bell, Rosie Perez, Chris Messina, Ella Jay Basco and others.
