Rezaul gets fisheries, livestock in cabinet reshuffle

Prime minister Sheikh Hasina on Thursday for the second time after forming the cabinet in January 2019 changed portfolios of one minister and two state ministers.

In the reshuffle, minister for housing and public works SM Rezaul Karim has been given the responsibility of the fisheries and livestock ministry.

State minister for fisheries and livestock M Ashraf Ali Khan Khasru has been made the state minister for social welfare, and state minister for social welfare Sharif Ahmed has received the responsibility of the state minister for the housing and public works.  

The Cabinet Division issued a gazette notification to this effect, signed by cabinet secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam.

The prime minister has redistributed the offices of the minister and state ministers as per the Rules of Business, 1996.

On May 19, 2019, the prime minister for the first time reorganised her cabinet she formed on January 7, 2019 for the third consecutive term.
