Members of Dhaka University Central Student Union on Saturday complained to the university vice- chancellor that the university proctor Golam Rabbani was not student friendly.
Confirming the matter DUCSU general secretary Golam Rabbani said that most of the members of the students union made the allegation at an executive meeting chaired by its ex-officio president M Akhtaruzzman, also the university vice-chancellor.
The student union also opposed combined admission test for public universities saying that it would hamper ‘distinctiveness and tradition’ of the university’s intake test, said Golam Rabbani, also a sacked general secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League.
The proposal was placed by DUCSU assistant general secretary Saddam Hossain and it was passed unanimously, said Golam Rabbani.
Beside these, DUCSU also proposed to launch three buses on the route from the university campus to Cumilla, banning plastics at on the university campus, allotting seats from first year at halls of residence, establishing bunk seats at halls of residence, fixing development fees policy, and holding central fresher’s reception.
