Actor Babar’s 68th birth anniversary today

Today is the 68th birth anniversary of late eminent Bangladeshi film actor, director and producer Khalilur Rahman Babar.

Babar was born on February 3, 1952 in Gendaria, Dhaka. He began his film carrier with ‘Rangbaaz’ in 1973. He mainly acted in negative roles in films. In his carrier, he acted in more than 300 Bangla films namely ‘Ekhono Onek Raat’, ‘Sneho’, ‘Bhoyangkar Saat Din’, ‘Chakor’, ‘Hisab Chai’, ‘Bishkonnar Prem’, ‘Princess Tina Khan’, ‘Chandan Talukder’ and more.

Babar made his silver screen debut with ‘Banglar Mukh’ of Amjad Hossain where he acted as lead actor.

Besides acting in films, Babar also produced and directed films namely ‘Dagi’, ‘Doyaban’, ‘Dadabhai’, ‘Ranga Bou’, ‘Bachchu’, ‘Lal Kajal’ and others.

His last film was ‘Tero Gunda Ek Panda’.

Babar died in Square Hospital on August 26, 2019 at the age of 67.
