BSPA elects 19-member committee

Bangladesh Sports Press Association on Friday elected Sanat Babla and Sudipta Ahmed Ananda as their president and general secretary respectively at the organisation’s biennial general meeting on Friday.

Special correspondent of Daily Kaler Kontho, Sanat and staff reporter of Desh Rupantor, Sudipta were elected unopposed at the meeting which was held at the Bangladesh Olympic Association House.

The other 17 members of the committee were also elected unopposed during the event.

BSPA also honoured its four senior members – Ikramuzzaman, ASM Roqibul Hasan, Mostafa Kamal and Sanaul Haque Khan with life membership in the event.

Sylhet branch won the best branch award in the event.

Full committee: Sanat Babla (president), Porag Arman, Mohammad Sahabuddin Sahab (vice-presidents), Sudipta Ahmed (general secretary), Mahbub Sarkar, Samon Hossain (joint-secretary), Rahenul Islam (finance secretary), Kabirul Islam (organising secretary), Redwan Sultan Suyeb (office secretary), Khairul Islam Shahin, Qazi Kazi Shahidul Alam, Talha Bin Nazrul, Raquibur Rahman, Rashida Afjaluneesa, Rafiqul Islam, Mithun Ashraf,  Ziauddin Saimum, Mujnabin Khan and Mahmudunnabi Chanchal (10 elected executive committee members).
