Mohammad Iman became the first centurion of the Bangabandhu National School Cricket 2019-20 on Sunday when he smashed an unbeaten 100 off 66 balls to give Barishal Town School a massive 277-run victory over Barishal Zilla School in their district level match in Barishal.
Iman’s century coupled with skipper Rahat Kazi’s 61 helped them post a mammoth 326 runs in their 50 overs before Sabbir Halder and Iman took four and two-wicket each to bowl out Zilla school for just 49 runs at the Abdur Rab Serniabad Stadium.
The district phase of the country’s largest cricketing competition began on January 20, with 556 institutions across the country taking part in 70 different venues.
