2-day group show at JnU ends

A two-day group art exhibition titled ‘Outdoor Artworks Open Display’ ended at Fine Arts building of Jagannath University on Thursday.

The exhibition was organised by JnU fine arts department. It displayed a total of 50 painitings, portraying everyday life in the old Dhaka, by students of the department.

Professor of JnU fine arts department Alaptogin Tushar inaugurated the exhibition as chief guest.  Teachers and former and present students of the department were also present at the programme.

The speakers congratulated JnU fine arts department for arranging the exhibition and said such events play an important role in encouraging creativity in young artists.

Mahmudul Hasan, a participant and JnU fine art student, said, ‘I am very happy to participate in this exhibition. The two-day art event drew a huge audience comprising students, teachers and art lovers. I hope the department will organise the exhibition regularly from now on.’
