Huawei received the best pavilion award at the Digital Bangladesh Mela 2020, arranged for the first time in the country, said a press release.
The award was given to Huawei for its contributions to the success of the fair by organising 5G experience demonstrations, real time VR testing, humanoid robot show, 5G smartphone experience and many more exciting facilities for free.
Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh) Ltd CEO Zhang Zhengjun received the prize from posts and telecommunications minister Mustafa Jabbar at the closing ceremony of the fair at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in Dhaka on Saturday, the release said.
Finance minister AHM Mustafa Kamal was also present at the ceremony along with other high officials of the posts and telecommunications ministry and Huawei Technologies (Bangladesh).
A major attraction at the fair was 5G technology demonstrations organised by Huawei, the titanium sponsor of the fair, where the people got the chance to experience 5G for the first time in the country.
The visitors also had the opportunity to do gigabit-level speed testing of 5G for free at the Huawei pavilion where Dhaka had a 1.6GBps data speed with Huawei 5G gear.
