Tabith urges all to come forward to protect democracy

Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s mayoral candidate for upcoming Dhaka North City Corporation polls Tabith Awal has urged all to work together against all conspiracies in order to protect democracy.

He made the request while addressing an electioneering rally in Mirpur BRTA area in Dhaka on Sunday.

‌He also said that they were looking forward to the steps taken by the Election Commission for holding the polls in a free and fair manner.

Earlier on the day, BNP secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, along with the party’s two mayoral candidates for the Dhaka City Corporations polls paid tribute to the grave of the party founder Ziaur Rahman, marking his 84th birth anniversary.

Adviser to the party chairperson Zainul Abdin Farroque, the party’s executive committee member Nipun Roy Chowdhury, Dhaka North Juba Dal president SM Jahangir Hossain, general secretary Safikul Islam Milton, and party leaders — Akramul Hasa and  Habibur Rahman Habib, attended the rally, among others.
