Dhaka-Delhi relations very deep: Aninda

Assistant high commissioner of India in Chattogram Aninda Banerjee on Friday said the relations between Bangladesh and India was deeply interwoven, terming Bangladesh as a real friend of India.

He was addressing as chief guest the 12th Children Juvenile Rally and prize distribution ceremony of Maizbhandari Academy at Nasirabad High School ground on Friday morning.

Maizbandari Academy arranged the children juvenile programmes on the occasion of 114th urs of Hazrat Moulana Shah Sufi Syed Ahmedullah Maizbandari and 10-day long urs of Syed Ziaul Hoque Maizbandari.

Indian diplomat said during the War of Independence of Bangladesh, Indian armed forces members sacrificed their lives for the independence of Bangladesh.

He also said during last few decades, Bangladesh had advanced tremendously in economic sector.

Referring to the prevailing communal harmony in Bangladesh, he said Muslims, Hindus and people of other religions were residing in Bangladesh peacefully.

Acting secretary of the trust AYM Jafar presided over the programmes.

General secretary of Chattogram University Teacher Association Anjan Kumar Chowdhry formally opened the programme.

BRTC chairman Ehsane Elahi and copyright registrar Jafar Raja Chowdhury attended it as special guests.
