Huawei will bring the first 5G demonstration in Bangladesh at the ‘Digital Bangladesh Mela 2020’ which begins at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre at Agargaon in the Capital on January 16, said a press release.
Huawei, the titanium sponsor of the fair, is going to run the 5G show at the threeday digital fair where visitors will be able to experience the gigabit-level speed testing of 5G for free at the company’s pavilion.
The arrangements aim to showcase the advancement of 5G technology in humanto-machine or machine-to-machine communication.
The fair will also feature a robot show, where the interactive humanoid robot will play soccer following the command of hand gesture.
There will also be a play-zone where visitors can experience real-time virtual reality (VR) test through 5G technology.
Prime minister’s information and communication technology affairs adviser Sajeeb Ahmed Wazed is expected to inaugurate the fair on the day.
The event aims to highlight the advancements and innovations of digital technology, ensure suitable human resources, build a bridge between the mass people and advanced digital technology and showcase the progress of the vision of ‘Digital Bangladesh’.
The Posts and Telecommunications Division is organising the event where both the government and private entities in digital technology sector will take part.
A total of 100 stalls, pavilions and mini pavilions, including that of Huawei, will be installed at the fair.
Ministers and digital technology experts from home and abroad would attend the affair and talk about the present and future of technology at 13 on talent gap, digital economy, digital growth, smart city, achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
