The day-time and night-time temperatures might fall by 1–2 degree Celsius over the country in the next three days, the Met Office said on Saturday.

The moderate to thick fog is also in the forecast over the country from midnight till morning and the sky might continue to be partly cloudy during the day-time.

‘The temperatures both at night and day might dip slightly by 1–2 degree Celsius,’ said weatherman Arifur Rahman.

He said that the cloudy sky was preventing sunlight, causing the chilling feeling despite no cold wave.

‘The weather until Tuesday might remain the same,’ Arif said.

The temperatures might increase by 1-2 degree Celsius after Tuesday, he said.

On Saturday, the country’s lowest temperature was recorded at 10.2 degree Celsius at Ishwardi.

The ranges of minimum temperatures in Rajshahi division were between 10.2 and 12.8 degree Celsius.

The ranges of minimum temperatures were between 10.8 and 13 degree Celsius in Khulna division, 11.1 to 12.7 degree Celsius in Rangpur division, 10.6 to 12.8 in Sylhet division, 12.5 to 14.1 in Dhaka division, 13 to 13.6 in Barishal division, 13.5 to 13.9 in Mymensingh division and 13.2 to 16.8 degree Celsius in Chattogram division.

People continue getting caught with cold-related diseases due to the winter cold.

At least 834 people took treatment for respiratory tract infections, 1,754 for diarrhea and 2,645 for other cold-related diseases at the government hospitals across the country in the last 24 hours ending 8:00am on Saturday, said the Directorate General of Health Services on Saturday.
