Al-Arafah Islami Bank Science Olympiad team goes to Qatar

A team of six members sponsored by Al-Arafah Islami Bank 5th Junior Science Olympiad-2019 would be going to attend the 16th International Junior Science Olympiad at Qatar’s capital in Doha.

The Bangladesh team was introduced at a press conference at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka on Sunday, said a release.

Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission former senior scientist Rezaur Rahman, the bank’s deputy managing director Shabbir Ahmed, senior executive vice-president Kazi Mahmood Karim, senior vice-president and head of Public Relations Jalal Ahmed, Bangladesh team captain of the Olympiad Farsim Mannan Mohammadi and Bangladesh Freedom Foundation executive director Sajjadur Rahman Chowdhury were present in the press conference.

The selected students from Bangladesh were Muhtasin Al Qafi of Barisal Cadet College, Abhishek Majumdar Santu of Birshrestha Noor Mohammad Public College, Kazi Tasfia Jahin of Muminunnisa Government Women’s College, Zakia Tajnur Chowdhury of Blue Bird School and College, Zuhaer Mahdiul Alam Asfi of Mymansingh Zilla School and Ahmed Al-Zubair Anam of Green Field International School and College.
