An exhibition of Bangladeshi photographer and activist Shahidul Alam’s works will begin at a museum in New York on Friday and will run till May 4, 2020.
The exhibition will feature over 40 photographs and ephemera composed by Shahidul in last four decades in different countries, said a press release.
Important highlights of the exhibition include A Struggle for Democracy portraying Bangladesh mass upsurge of 1980s and a 3D model of the prison where he spent over 100 days in 2018.
In 2018, Shahidul was chosen by Time magazine as one of persons of the year following his imprisonment for speaking out against the Bangladeshi government.
