3 Nigerians held in Feni

Border Guard Bangladesh detained three Nigerians while they were trying to trespass on India through the Fulgazi border in Feni on early Friday.

BGB 4 Battalion commander M Nahiduzzaman said acting on a tip-off that some people were preparing to enter India illegally, a BGB team conducted a drive in the midnight past Thursday and arrested the three Nigerians.

They are Sunday Ebonadi Edwin, bearing passport number A03225864, Lotanna Samuel Anaekwe, passport number A06388534, and Kingsley Chinedu Nwaokorie, passport number A50016041.

BGB said the detainees did not have India visas, but Rs 13,000, $ 100, a laptop and two mobiles which were seized.

Preparation was underway to hand them over to the Fulgazi police.
