BRAC Bank has launched a Card Protection Plan in association with CPP Group Bangladesh to provide protection to cardholders of the bank, said a press release.
The card protection service is designed to be useful in times of a crisis situation like any loss, theft, fraud and other related emergencies such as travel and hotel assistance, it said.
In case of any such events experienced anywhere in the world, the cardholders need to make a single call to CPP’s 24-hour helpline and report loss of card(s), it said.
The bank has offered a number of plans for cardholders, a complimentary fraud protection coverage up to Tk 2,00,000, mobile wallet protection against fraud for up to Tk 1,00,000 and overseas emergency assistance for payment of hotel expenses up to Tk 2,00,000. Currently, three types of protection plans — Value, Classic and Premium — are available for BRAC Bank credit card.
At the launch ceremony, BRAC Bank head of products – cards Joarder Tanvir Faisal said, ‘We are delighted to have introduced the CPP facility to our cardholders. Our customers can now travel and use their cards with a peace of mind, anytime and anywhere in the world knowing that their card is safe and secured.’
CPP Global Assistance Bangladesh Ltd (CPP) is part of UK-based CPP Group Plc, with global operations starting in 1981.
