Bangladesh clinched the five-match Under-21 friendly hockey series with a game to spare when they beat their Omanis counterparts by 4-1 goals in the fourth match at the Maulana Bhashani National Hockey Stadium on Saturday.
Sohanur Rahman Sabuj scored two goals from penalty corners in the 40th and 43rd minutes while Mahbub Hossain netted a field goal in the second minute and Saiful Alam Shishir scored from a penalty corner in the 13th minute for the winners.
Rashad Al Fazari pulled one goal back for Oman in the 58th minute by scoring from a penalty corner.
Bangladesh began their campaign with 5-1 win over Oman and were held to a 2-2 draw in the second match but came back strongly by winning the third match 2-0 on Friday.
The fifth and final match of the series will be played at the same venue on Tuesday.
Both sides are playing the series as part of their preparation for the AHF Junior [Under-21] Asia Cup 2020, scheduled to be held in Dhaka from June 4 to 14.
