Early Saturday morning, the trawlers capsized during a storm and some 33 were rescued by other trawlers fishing nearby.

The trawlers are owned by Sohrab Pyada of village Modoya Charmontaj, Ratul Mia of village Koralia and Nizam Fakir of village Char Lata, all under Rangabali upazila.

‘After hearing about the missing trawlers, we sent a trawler to the bay to rescue the fishermen,’ said Nizam Fakir.
