Faridul Ahasan Shourav’s short film A Scribble Story is going to compete in the ninth edition of Pune Short Film Festival in India, scheduled to begin on June 7.
The film will compete in the Experimental Film Category along with other films from different countries, informed Shourav.
A Scribble Story, a 10-minute film, features fragmented stories from daily lives of people. Though the stories seem to be apparently unconnected, the film focuses on the thin tread of connection among the stories.
‘It is an honour to participate in an international film festival exclusively on short films. In A Scribble Story, I have tried to experiment with storytelling,’ said Shorav, who has earlier made eight short films and a documentary.
A Scribble Story earlier won ‘The Best Experimental Film’ award at Twelve Months Film Festival in Romania in January.
