Transportation on the country’s waterways resumed on Sunday after a three-day disruption caused by cyclone Fani.
Shafiqul Alam, director of Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority, said that the services resumed around 7:00am after the Chandpur-bound launch ‘MV Bogdadia’ left from Sadarghat.
On May 2, BIWTA suspended operations of all types of water vessels across the country due to inclement weather.
The Chattogram port resumed operations on Saturday afternoon after a 30-hour disruption caused by Fani.
