Sangskritik Biplobi Sangha (SABIS) celebrated its 47th anniversary through a two-day celebration programme at its auditorium in Manikganj on Saturday and Sunday.
The programme featured rally, cultural shows and discussion sessions.
On the closing day of the programme on Sunday evening, renowned singers Nasrin Ahammed, Shahnaj Poli, Farjana Nipa, Shah Selim Reza, Kajol Pal and autistic child singer Khadiza Hasan Kotha entertained the audience with rendition of songs of different genres.
Earlier, a discussion was held where district council chairman Golam Mohiuddin, Magura Group vice chairperson Dilara Mostofa, former SABIS president Nina Rahman and others spoke on the journey of SABIS and its contributions to cultural activities in Manikganj.
SABIS president Shahidul Islam Faruk presided over the session.
On the opening day of the celebration programme, a colourful procession was brought in the district town where SABIS members, along with cultural activists from other groups, joined.
