Police recovered the throat-slit body of a young man from Dhalarmor area along the bank of Padma River in Faridpur Sadar on Thursday.
The deceased was identified as Raju Mir, 26, son of Sohrab Mir of Bhatilaxmi area of Faridpur.
Quoting the victim's family members, AFM Nasim, officer-in-charge of Kotwali Police Station, said they had received a message form Raju at around 2:00am early Thursday with a note stating that 'you'll find me by interrogating Asif'.
Getting the message, they went to the Asif's house and found his hand with a bandage and later informed it to police.
Later, police detained Asif and following interrogation, police recovered the body early in the morning and sent it to local hospital morgue for an autopsy.
However, the reason behind the murder could not be known immediately.
