Bangladesh women’s cricket team all-rounder Rumana Ahmed on Sunday received the 2018 ICC Women’s Twenty20 Team of the Year cap from the International Cricket Council.
Earlier this year, the 27-year old was named in the ICC Women’s Twenty20 Team of the Year 2018 for providing a disciplined all-round effort throughout the season.
Rumana also became the first Bangladeshi women’s cricketer to be named in any ICC team after she bagged 30 wickets, second highest, as well as scored 229 runs in 24 matches she played in 2018.
Her performance helped Bangladesh women’s cricket team win the Women’s Asia Cup for the first time in Malaysia while Rumana had a decent contribution in Bangladesh’s unbeaten run in the ICC Women’s World T20 Qualifiers in Netherlands.
