3-day cultural workshop in Sylhet ends

A three-day workshop on national anthem and Bangla song ended in Sylhet on Thursday.
District Shilpakala Academy, Sylhet arranged the event at its auditorium where more than 200 students from 25 educational institutions participated.
The students were taught to render national anthem Amar shonar Bangla, Anandaloke Mangalaloke, Daw shoriya, daw dhariya, Purba digante shurja utechhe, Shatya bolo shupathe cholo, Amar bhaiyer rakte rangano Ekushey February and Dhana dhanne pushpe bhora.
Purnima Datta Roy and Pratik Enda attended the workshop as resource
persons.
The concluding ceremony on Thursday featured discussion, presentation of certificates and cultural show.
Rosomoy Memorial High School’s senior teacher Tahmina Parvin and teacher of Jalalabad Cantonment Public School and College Maria Khatun Munni spoke at the programme. District cultural officer Asit Baran Dash Gupta chaired
the event.
The participants were awarded certificates. Following which, a cultural show was held where students entertained the audience presenting songs, dances and recitations.
