Anamul hits hat-trick ton, Jamal sink Mohammedan

Prime Bank Cricket Club rode on skipper Anamul Haque’s third consecutive hundred to end Abahani Limited’s unbeaten run in the Dhaka Premier League, beating them by 16 runs in Fatullah on Friday.
Anamul made 102 to help Prime Bank post 302-5 in their stipulated overs before Al-Amin, Nahidul Islam and Abdur Razzak took three-wicket each to bowl out Abahani for 286 in 8.5 overs.
Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club’s Enamul Haque (28) hit a six in the last ball to hand his team a dramatic two-wicket win against Mohammedan Sporting Club at BKSP.
Mehedi Maruf (137) and Jaker Ali (107) hit unbeaten hundreds to power Legends of Rupganj to an eight-wicket win against Gazi Group Cricketers in Mirpur.

Anamul and Zakir Hasan (18) put 50 runs in the opening stand before skipper Mosaddek Hossain bowled the latter in the 10th over after Prime Bank were sent to bat.
Anamul and Abhimanyu then added 154 runs
for the second wicket to take Prime Bank to a position of power.
Abhimanyu was 15 shy off a hundred when Sanzamul Islam trapped him leg-before in the 40th over.
But Anamul didn’t miss out and completed his hat-trick of hundreds with a six off Sanzamul in the 42nd over.
Anamul perished in the very next over off Nazmul Islam but Ariful struck a quick-fire 51 off just 27 balls to take Prime Bank’s total past 300.
After Jahurul Islam’s (0) early dismissal, Wasim Jaffer (94) forged a 62 and 132-run stand with Soumya Sarkar (36) and Najmul Hossain (73) respectively to take Abahani to 195-2 in 31.4 overs.
Off-spinner Al-Amin then stopped Abahani’s onslaught by removing Wasim, Mohammad Mithun (two) and Najmul in quick succession to leave Abahani stranded on 219-5 in 37.4 overs.
Mosaddek struck 52 to reduce the margin of defeat before getting dismissed as the last Abahani batsman off Razzak.
Mohammedan v Sheikh Jamal
Batting first, Mohammedan were reeling on 137-6 despite a 62-run fourth wicket stand between Abdul Mazid (52) and Mohammad Ashraful (44).
Late contributions from Chaturanga de Silva (49) and Sohag Gazi (32) helped Mohammedan reach 240 before getting bowled out in 49.1 overs.
Imtiaz Hossain struck 74 as Tanbir Hayder (39) and Nurul Hasan (32) made useful contributions for Jamal but it all came down to the final over where they required 12.
After picking seven runs from singles and doubles, Enamul struck Alauddin Babu for a six in the last ball to take the score to 242-8 in 50 overs.
Gazi v Rupganj
Sent to bat, Gazi posted 250-9 in 50 overs with Parvez Rasool and Imrul Kayes making 86 and 48 respectively.
After losing Mohammad Naim (0) and Mominul Haque (two) cheaply,
Mehedi and Jaker put an unbroken 226-run third wicket partnership to take their team to 253-2 in 45.3 overs.
