Women leadership summit held in capital

The 4th edition of Women Leadership Summit that promoted women empowerment and a genderbalanced future was held in the capital on Saturday.
With the theme ‘creative leadership through diversity’, the Women in Leadership and the Bangladesh Brand Forum jointly organised the summit at a hotel in Dhaka.
Divided in several segments, the event saw panel discussions, insight and breakout sessions where 26 eminent professionals from different sectors shared views on the issues women faced.
The Women in Leadership president Nazia Andaleeb Preema said that women needed to become bold and independent.
Management consultant and executive coach from Nepal Sumana Shrestha and ambassador of the Royal Norwegian embassy HE Sidsel Bleken gave their valuable insights as the keynote speakers.
All sessions revolved around issues such as gender equality, phenomenon of breaking barriers, influencing socio-political structure through women leadership and more.
The 4th edition of Women Leadership Summit was supported by Reckitt Benckiser Bangladesh.
The other partners were the Bangladesh Creative Forum and the EMK Centre.
