Migration of housemaids from Bangladesh increased to 1,18, 088 in 2016 from 1,03,718 in 2015.
According to Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training records, in 2016, 68,286 housemaids from the country took jobs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia alone.
