Bangladesh Under-19 team needed just five overs to beat Singapore by seven wickets as they romped to their second win in as many days in the Asia Cup U-19 tournament at Galle, Sri Lanka on Friday.
Opting to bowl first, Bangladesh colts dismissed Singapore for just 70 runs in 25.5 overs with Abdul Halim and Nayeem Hasan picking up three wickets each for 21 and 16 runs respectively.
Shakhawat Hossain chipped in with 2-18 as only one Singapore batsman - opener Rohan Rangarajan – managed to reach double figure with 20.
Bangladesh raced to 71-3 in just five overs as skipper Saif Hassan made 33 off 11 balls with the help of two fours and four sixes. Mohammad Rakib was unbeaten on 13 off five balls.
Bangladesh beat Afghanistan by four wickets in their opening match on Thursday.
Bangladesh will take on Pakistan in their next match at the same venue on Sunday.
