Two ‘JMB fugitives’ held in city

The Rapid Action Battalion on Sunday detained two suspected operatives of a faction of banned extremist outfit Jamaatul Mujahideen Bangladesh at Abdullahpur and Shanir Akhra in the city.

A team of RAB-11 detained Ruhullah Atik alias Nurullah, and Chowdhury Hamdan bin Firoz alias Muhith who were fugitives from justice, a text sent by the RAB said.

The duo, followers of Sarwar-Tamim group of the extremist outfit, was the accused in a case filed on July 29 with Fatullah police station in Narayanganj, the text read.
