11 detained in city for ‘extremism financing’

The Rapid Action Battalion said on Saturday that they detained 11 people in the city in connection with their involvement for financing to extremism.

The battalion personnel also seized laptop, mobile phone and documents from them during the drives.

The detained are identified as Al Mamun, 20, Al Amin, 23, Md Faysal alias Tuhin, 37, Moyeen Khan, 33, Amzad Hossain, 34, Md Nahid, 30, Md Tajul Islam alias Shakil, 27, Md Jahedullah, 29, Md Helal Uddin, 29, Al Amin, 23, and Toly Nath, 40.
