Two ‘snatchers’ injured in gunfight with RAB at Azimpur

Two suspected snatchers received bullets in their legs during a ‘gunfight’ with a team of Rapid Action Battalion at Azimpur in the capital Tuesday afternoon, said a message sent to media by RAB.

RAB also seized two firearms, bullets and a car used by the snatchers, the message said, adding that the duo was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for treatment.

DMCH officials said the injured ones – Mosharraf Hossain, 39, and Monir Hossain, 35, of Bhasantek area in the capital suffered bullet wounds in their right and left thighs respectively.

They said that the duo was out of danger.
