A fire on Saturday evening at the Bangladesh Road Transport Corporation’s Motijheel bus depot in Bangladesh capital Dhaka partially damaged a bus, said officials.
The corporation general manager Md Amzad Hossain told New Age on Saturday that a fire broke out at the bus depot area around 6:30pm on the day.
Seeing the smoke and flames, BRTC bus depot staff and fire service members rushed to the spot immediately and put off the fire within 10 minutes, he said.
A bus was partially damaged in the incident while it would take Tk 4 lakh to Tk5 lakh to repair it, he said.
Amzad also said that a five-member committee was formed to investigate into the incident.
