The government has appointed Kazi Sanaul Haque as chairman of state-owned Rupali Bank for the next three years, said a press release.
Sanaul took charge of the chairmanship of the bank on Sunday.
The Financial Institutions Division of the finance ministry sent the proposal for his appointment to the managing director of the bank on May 30, which was approved by the Bangladesh Bank on June 6.
Sanaul has previously served as the managing director of Dhaka Stock Exchange, Investment Corporation of Bangladesh, Karmasangsthan Bank and Rajshahi Krishi Unnayan Bank and as managing director (additional charge) of Agrani Bank.
He has also worked as deputy managing director of Agrani Bank and general manager of Bangladesh Development Bank and RAKUB. — New Age
