Coast Guard seizes 28000 Yaba, 4 held

Bangladesh Coast Guard Station Teknaf conducted a raid in the marine drive beach area of ​​Maheshkhali Para under Teknaf Police Station and arrested 4 Yaba smugglers and seized 28,000 pieces of Yaba tablets.

On the basis of secret information, a special operation, led by station commander Teknaf lieutenant commander M Mirajul Hasan, was conducted in the area recently, said a press release.

As the movement of a boat seemed suspicious during the operation at Maheshkhali wharf, the boat was seized by the Coast Guard team. The boat was later searched and 28,000 pieces of Yaba tablets were found.

At that time, 4 people were arrested. The detainees are Md Harun 32, Nur Kabir, 28, Shahjalal, 18, and Abu Sufian, 28. They all are residents of Teknaf.

The detainees, the seized Yaba tablets and the boat used in the smuggling have been handed over to Teknaf Model Police Station for further legal action.
