A man was stabbed to death in the capital’s Pallabi area on Sunday afternoon over previous enmity.

The victim was Shahin Uddin, 40, a resident of the area.

Police primarily identified some attackers and raids were on to catch them, said Pallabi police officer-in-charge Abu Sayeed Al Mamun.

Locals said that Shahin owns lands at Mirpur-12 and Pallabi areas and he is involved in land business also.

He has rivalry with some locals over establishing supremacy in the area.

Shahin locked in an altercation with another man, Sumon, and some others on Sunday afternoon. At one stage, Sumon stabbed Shahin in different parts of his body and fled the scene, said police.

Shahin died on the spot.
