Pally Life Development Society, a non-governmental Organisation, on Wednesday distributed cooked food and essential food items among the poor, now in dire need due to the ongoing restrictions to contain the Covid pandemic, said a press release.
The PLDS’s employees distributed packets of cooked food among 280 people and essential food items to 150 others families at Rayerchar at Ati Bazar in Keraniganj, on the outskirts of Bangladesh’s capital Dhaka.
PLDS’ country director Fateheen M Rahman who was present in the programme said that PLDS distributed essentials food items to over 1,000 under-privileged people, mostly in Barishal, the southern part of Bangladesh, during the restrictions.
Established in 2009, PLDS have been providing technical training to different levels of students to make them self-reliant by involving with any business or by entering into job field, said Fateheen.
