The Bangladesh Bank on Tuesday asked banks to provide services to their clients today for four hours from 10:00am to 2:00pm to facilitate Eid-ul-Fitr-centric banking transactions.

A BB circular issued on May 5 asked banks to keep their branches having dealings with apparel industries in Dhaka, Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Bhaluka, Narayanganj and Chattogram and the related department in their head office functional from May 10 to May 13 if Eid-ul-Fitr is observed on May 14.

Following the BB’s decision to keep banking services open, the country’s bourses on Tuesday also decided to keep the stock market open today.
