A young man on Tuesday night died after falling off a moving rickshaw at Dhanmondi in the capital.
The deceased was identified as Nadeem Hossain, 30, son of Mahmud Bhuiyan of village Dilsadhpur of Laxmipur Sadar upazila.
Dhanmondi police sub-inspector Subrata confirmed the incident saying that his body was kept at Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue.
Quoting local people, he said that Nadeem fell from a moving rickshaw on Dhanmondi Road No 32 at about 9:30pm and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.
Duty doctors of Dhaka Medical College Hospital emergency unit declared him dead at about 10:30pm.
Nadeem’s brother-in-law Iqbal Hossain Babu said Nadeem used to live at Shukrabad in Dhanmondi. He was the third between two brothers and two sisters.
