Activists demand special people’s access to websites

Rights activists for special people at a discussion on Tuesday asked the authority concerned to ensure access of people with disabilities to websites.

Manusher Jonno Foundation in cooperation with Visually Impaired People’s Society, Young Power in Social Action, Centre for Services and Information on Disability organised the event virtually.

The speakers at the webinar on ‘Web Accessibility Workshop’ also asked to invest special technology, technique and demanded to make the websites user-friendly for people with disabilities, said a press release.

Information and communication technology division senior secretary NM Zeaul Alam, MJF executive director Shaheen Anam, University Grant Commission additional director Maksudur Rahman Bhuiyan and YPSA executive director Mohammed Arifur Rahman spoke among others.

CSID executive director Khandakar Jahurul Alam moderated the event.
