Brac University continues supporting students with fund

Brac University volunteers help students apply for the Student Assistance Fund to receive a 100 per cent non-tuition fee waiver and a 10 per cent tuition scholarship at a ceremony on the campus recently. — Press release

Brac University has decided to continue supporting its students with its Student Assistance Fund for another semester this year, said a press release.

The university started assisting its students with the fund in the summer semester in 2020 and has already committed Tk 66 crores as financial assistance to students in the past three semesters.

Under the initiative, every student will receive a 100 per cent non-tuition fee waiver and a 10 per cent tuition scholarship. On a need basis, some students will also receive tuition scholarships up to 100 per cent.

Vice-chancellor Professor Vincent Chang said, ‘Being a student-centric university, we go the extra mile for the betterment of our students, particularly in difficult times.’
