Former Indian prime minister Manmohan Singh was admitted to a Delhi hospital with Covid-19 on Monday.

The 88-year old veteran Congress leader is admitted to the Trauma Centre, reports NDTV.   

He was administered a Covid test after registering a fever and was admitted at around 5:00pm.

Manmohan has received his two vaccine doses of Covaxin— the first on March 4 and the second on April 3. Sources said he was shifted to hospital as ‘a matter of precaution.’

‘Dear Dr Manmohan Singhji, Wishing you a speedy recovery. India needs your guidance and advice in this difficult time,’ Rahul Gandhi tweeted.
