Jahangirnagar theatre streams Jiban Nadir Lash

Jahangirnagar University Teacher-Student Centre-based theatre troupe, Jahangirnagar Theatre, streamed its play Jiban Nadir Lash on Tuesday.

The play, which has been directed by Fazle Rabby, was streamed on the official Facebook pages of Jahangirnagar Theatre and JU Teacher-Student Centre. Jiban Nadir Lash depicts sufferings of human trafficking victims.

‘When cyclone Aila battered the southern part of Bangladesh in 2009, a large number of people became homeless. Traffickers took advantage of the situation and a large number of homeless people were trafficked to foreign countries as construction workers. We have tried to depict their sufferings in the play,’ Fazle Rabby told New Age.

Farhan Sakib, Amit Biswas Bappy, Anubrata Nandi, Moallem Hasnat Didar, Ashura Azad Taeyaba, Auvishruti Modak, Newaj Noyon, Surmi Ruba, Mehjabin Prokrity and Sabnam Jareen Laxmi acted in the play.
