BASIC Bank has become the first state-owned to launch its WhatsApp banking service, said a press release.
The bank’s chairman, Abul Hashem, inaugurated the service after its board meeting held virtually on Monday.
Managing director and CEO Md Anisur Rahman discussed about the service on the occasion.
Member of the bank’s board of directors Md Shaheb Ali Mridha, Md Razib Parvez, Md Rafiqul Islam and Nahid Hossain were also present at the meeting.
Customers will be able to know about account balance and the last five transactions from anywhere in the world at any time through this service.
Account holders have to add the number +8801713257414 to their Whattsapp call list to avail the service through the app. — New Age
