COVID-19 claims 69 more, infects 6,028

Bangladesh logged an additional 69 COVID-19 deaths and 6,028 infections in the past 24 hours on Monday.

With this, the death toll hits 9,891 and infections to 697,985.

The Directorate General of Health Services release came up with the latest COVID-19 update.

Among the deceased, 43 were male 26 were female patients.

Some 32,955 specimens were tested in the timeline at 255 labs across the country.

Bangladesh had tested a total of 50,70,788 specimens as of April 13.   

A total of 4,853 patients were declared free from novel coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours totalling the recovery to 585,699.

Bangladesh on March 8, 2020 reported the first COVID-19 positive cases while the first death was logged ten days later on March 18, 2020.
