Bangladesh has allocated Tk 572.9 crore to help the people who have become jobless during the public movement restrictions imposed to contain the second wave of COVID-19 infections.
The allotment will be distributed among 1,24,41,900 families through the Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief, said a Press Information Department handout on Thursday.
Among the allocations, a total of Tk 450.44 crore was allotted against a total of 1000,9,494 vulnerable group feeding cards at upazila and municipality levels.
