Jatiya Party chairman GM Quader on Tuesday blamed the government for the recent violence across the country that took several lives and injured many others.
Quader in a press release said that killing people could not be a solution to a rift that developed between a group of people and the government at a time when the nation was celebrating the 50th anniversary of independence and the 101th birth anniversary of the country’s founding president Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
Without mentioning the name or the identity of the group, Quader said that the recent violence indicated people’s anger towards the government’s policy, activities and behaviour.
It is really condemnable and unexpected that several people died and many others were injured in the past few days, he said.
Quader demanded an immediate meaningful solution to the problem and compensation to the people who died or were injured in the past few days.
