BGB celebrates Mujib’s birth anniversary

The Border Guard Bangladesh celebrated the 101st birth anniversary of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman with befitting manner on Wednesday, said a press release.

The central quarter guard, administrative building, Bir Uttam Salahuddin Ahmed Gate, Bir Uttam Habibur Rahman Gate and museum area and all region, institutions, quarter guards of the sectors and units, and office buildings were illuminated on the occasion.

The speech of the late president Sheikh Mujib, delivered on the occasion of the training pass out parade of the 3rd batch of the then Bangladesh Rifles on December 5, 1974, was screened in the auditoriums of all the units including the headquarters at 11:30am on the day.

BGB director general Major General Md Shafeenul Islam attended a discussion at the multipurpose shade in the BGB headquarters at Pilkhana in Dhaka marking the day.

All BGB regions, institutions, sectors and units organised milad mahfil and offered special prayers after Zuhr prayers for the eternal peace of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
